During the Renaissance, it was said that artists were born under the influence of Saturn. For the Venice Biennale, Yto Barrada revisits this myth with Comme Saturne, a work in which textiles play a central role.
During the preparation of this work, the artist was captivated by the beauty of one of her fabrics when illuminated from behind by sunlight. She wanted to recreate this effect — and we made it happen.
