the series of original autochrome plates
The Lumières des roses gallery presents at Paris Photo 2023 a series of original autochrome plates, highlighted and framed by Société Lumière
Basilica Saint-Denis – the pediment of the crypt highlighted
Our goal was to make the excerpt from the gospel visible by only a small glow and to reinforce the reflection of the cross of light which crosses the altar and projects into the crypt. The altar of the basilica, created by the artist Vladimir Zbynovsky and composed of a stone plinth from Armenia, is topped with a glass dome which contains a cut-out in the shape of a cross and a lens to make possible this effect.
Stained glass windows from the Atelier Loire in a light box
Société Lumière was asked by the associated architects of the 2BDM agency (agency of chief architects for Historic Monuments) to manufacture the light boxes for the test stained glass windows, made by the Atelier Loire in Chartres and intended for the Eglise de Provins.

Seb Janiak, Bardo Thodol
A new work for Seb Janiak. A new print of his Bardo Thodol, highlighted by Société Lumière. Installed at the collector’s home.
Autochromes for Lumière des Roses
Société Lumière was asked to highlight the Autochromes “Fleurs” (circa 1920) for the Lumière des Roses gallery, Paris
For the collection of the Lumière des Roses gallery, we have highlighted a panorama of the 8 autochromes. The eight images represent the slides that the projectionists projected to explain the technique of the manufacturing process of the autochromes. They show (from left to right) the different pigmentations of the starch used to make the autochrome.
Autochrome “cinderella”
backlight progress
Galerie Lumière des Roses entrusted us with the backlighting of an exceptional autochrome by Paul Quinsier (France, circa 1920). On the occasion of Paris Photo 2022, we created a little animation as a nod to Cinderella’s shoe. With our Casambi dimmer, we were able to subtly adjust the color of the photograph and program an animation.

The Elder Scrolls, luminous stele for Bethesda Softworks
Société Lumière has created a light box in the shape of a stele for the Parisian offices of Bethesda Softworks. The lightbox (1 x 2 m) which magnifies the famous video game saga stands without wall hanging, on a steel base.
